The form of 200 George is derived from the overlapping intersection of two carefully proportioned rounded rectangles and a simple rectilinear core.
The rounded rectangular form has been developed to capture the unique primary view corridors with each corner offering a primary point of generation or 'centre point'.
In the northern corners the centre points are directly related to the significant views towards the Harbour Bridge and the Opera House. This creates an interior space and architectural form that orientates directly towards these important and valued Sydney views.
The second corner is set at right angles to the first in order to present a primary face towards the western view of Darling Harbour and Port Jackson. In this case the centre point relates to the western harbour view and the south east view back towards the City.
